Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill has told Australian media that only two persons remain admitted in hospital in relation to the drink spiking incident at the Warwick Resort over the weekend.

He said both are in a stable condition and that one of them is an Australian.

“Its a real peak time for tourism, you know, coming through Christmas and into the new year,” he said.

“You know, we obviously saw those distressing events in Laos and, we actually put in place a lot of regulations and made sure that, everybody was on top of their game after that.”

“So, it was obviously very distressing to see this at this stage.”

“We still don’t want to speculate as to exactly what occurred, we are not sure until those toxicology reports actually come through.”
