Motibhai and Company Ltd Chairman and CEO Kirit Patel was awarded the Executive of the Year at the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2024 on Saturday.
Mr Patel was recognised as a visionary leader who has propelled Motibhai Group to new heights.
The company also won the major Supreme Award sponsored by Natural Waters of Viti Ltd.
Mr Patel acknowledged the new space that the Coalition Government had given Fijians to work and live in Fiji.
“This was all possible because our subsidiaries The Fiji Times only excelled once the draconian media decree was once and for all abolished,” said Mr Patel.
“That set the platform for our group to excel because during those years of the decree was a very challenging time and to navigate that was not easy.
“The important part of the new Coalition Government has given businesses, and individuals a total new space to operate and work in.”
Investment Fiji said Mr Patel’s passion for business growth, employee welfare, and community engagement set him apart as a deserving recipient of the Executive of the Year award.
