THE International Women’s Association (IWA) has announced the overwhelming success of its PINKtober fundraising lunch, held on October 19 at the Nanuku Resort, Fiji.

IWA president Judy Compain expressed her gratitude, stating: “We are deeply thankful to Nanuku Resort and all the small businesses that contributed to this event. Their support allows us to continue our vital work in the community and make a meaningful impact.”

Nanuku Fiji’s managing director Jeff Larsen and general manager Tomasi Turukawa presented a generous cheque for $25,000 to Ms Compain and her team, marking a significant contribution to the IWA’s ongoing initiatives for women, children, and healthcare in Fiji.

The IWA is especially grateful for the incredible support from small businesses that donated items for door prizes, raffles, and auctions, which helped raise a substantial portion of the funds.

Their generosity played a key role in making the event a financial success, supporting the IWA’s focus on improving the lives of women and children and enhancing healthcare services.

Nanuku Resort remains a vital partner in the IWA’s mission, sharing a commitment to community well-being, women’s empowerment, and supporting their staff and families.

The funds raised will go towards supporting cancer patients and strengthening health initiatives, building on successful projects like the renovation of the CWM Oncology Ward in January this year.
