Diabetes Fiji in partnership with the Fiji National Sports Commission (FNSC) organised diabetes awareness and advocacy programs in the highlands of Naitasiri this week.
The acting project manager Marawa Kini said they created awareness in the districts of Noemalo and Muaira.
“We were also fortunate to host a Global Diabetes Walk and a health screening event as part of this initiative, and especially with the Diabetes Campaign for the period of this two months October and November,” Mr Kini said.
“The program has made a significant difference in these communities. Through our partnership, we will continue to raise awareness on diabetes, promote healthy living, and ensure that communities in need receive the support and services they deserve.”
