THE recent allegations by senior players Waisea Nayacalevu, Levani Botia, and Semi Radradra against the Fiji Rugby Union have not influenced FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne’s selection process for the upcoming test match in November.
Nayacalevu and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua hooker Tevita Ikanivere have been announced as co-captains for the upcoming test matches.
Mick has unveiled a 39-member squad for the team’s upcoming test match against Scotland next month, with four players set to make their debut.
The debutants include Outside Centre Waqa Nalaga, Inside Centre Kemu Valetini, Hooker Ratu Penaia Cakobau, and Blindside Flanker Saimoni Uluinakauvadra.
The squad also features players like Loose Head Prop Eroni Mawi, Haereiti Hetet, Livai Natave, Second Row Lock Isoa Nasilasila, and Mesake Vocevoce.
Open Side Flanker Kitione Salawa, Vilive Miramira, Fly Half Caleb Muntz, Outside Centres Semi Radradra, and Apisalome Vota, along with Hooker Samuel Matavesi and Mesulame Dolokoto, make up the squad.
Second Row Lock Temo Mayanavanua, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Eight Men Elia Canakaivata, and Albert Tuisue are also part of the team.
Left Wing Vuate Karawalevu, Ponipate Loganimasi, and Right Wing Jiuta Wainiqolo, as well as Josua Tuisova, are included in the squad.
Tight Head Prop Luke Tagi, Samuela Tawakw, Jone Koroiduadua, and Meli Tuni are part of the team, as well as Blindside Flanker Ratu Meli Derenalagi, Scrum Half Frank Lomani, Simiome Kuruvoli, and Peni Matawalu.
Meanwhile, the Inside Centre Inia Tabuavou, Vilimone Botitu, and Fullbacks Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula, Sireli Maqala, and Ilaisa Droasese complete the squad.
The Flying Fijians will take on Scotland on November 3rd in their first test, they will then take on Wales on November 11 before playing Spain in the third test on November 17.
They will play Ireland on November 24 in their final test.
