Native lease holders who owe outstanding lease arrears to the amount of $2.6million have been told to pay up their outstanding leases or have their names published in the print media.
The notice of arrears from the iTaukei Lands Trust Board has been issued to tenants in the Central and Eastern divisions.
“If your lease falls under any of the township listed below, please take immediate action to settle your arrears. Do visit our offices and talk to our arrears recovery teams for part payment if cannot pay in full,” TLTB said.
“Please be informed that if your arrears are not cleared by October 1st, 2024, your name will be published in the print media outlets.
“We strongly urge you to settle any outstanding payments promptly to avoid this action. “
