Fiji Association of Sport and National Olympic Committee and the Fiji Sports Council confirm that the ticket sales had been very fast.
Last year the event was a sell-out, and the organising committee is hoping to attract as many people this year as well.
Tickets are selling at $45 per person and $320 for the table. Tickets include meals and complimentary drinks.
Meanwhile a three-year deal signed between the Awards Committee would see the event broadcasted live for the first time.
This year’s Fiji Sports Awards will be honouring figures in 11 categories to recognise the efforts, challenges and achievements of the nation’s sportsmen and sportswomen, coaches and technical officials, sports federations and volunteers during 2014.
The partnership offers up to $73,000 in production costs and official media partner Fiji TV will promote the event, which takes place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Friday.
