PROFESSOR Ganga Prasad has proven that age is just a number by winning 10 medals in the 2024 Oceania Athletic Championship master’s category at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva last week.
The 66-year-old is originally from Fiji and resides in Australia where he works as a professor in English at Griffith University and TAFE. Returning to Fiji for the championship was a memorable experience for Prasad, where he competed in the master’s 65-69 category.
“It was an absolute pleasure to return to Fiji and participate in the masters, where I had the esteemed opportunity to meet Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka,” said Prasad.
