Australian national Millian Lloyd Jones launched her book The Adventures of Milli and Max: An ABC Journey Under the Sea at the First Landing Resort in Lautoka on Saturday.
The book, which is both a unique alphabet learning book and a treasury of fun facts about sea creatures, would certainly captivate the young children.
“Millie and Max is my love story with the ocean and the children in general,” Ms Jones said.
She said the book was not only a learning tool, but it also highlighted a story about friendship, collaboration and diversity.
“We have around 20 kids joining us today (Saturday) because we want to celebrate with them.
“These kids some of their parents work at the resort and some family kids as well.”
She said drawn against the backdrop of the South Pacific Ocean, young readers would join the exploits of Milli and Max as they follow the alphabet to discover fascinating sea creatures large and small.
“Vivid illustrations jump off the pages to create storytelling at its best, engaging the attention of children and adults alike.”
