Former South Pacific Tourism Organisation chief executive Ilisoni Vuidreketi is Fiji’s new ambassador-designate to the US.
He was officially commissioned by President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House yesterday morning.
Mr Vuidreketi has more than 20 years’ senior management experience at national and regional levels in the areas of trade, tourism, finance, investment and small and medium enterprise (SME) development.
Mr Vuidreketi also served as adviser to rural village projects, youths, women, school committees, NGOs, and other community groups.
This includes providing technical advice and support in writing constitutions, strategic plans, business plans and proposals to donor agencies and governments.
