The Fiji Airways Fiji 7s side will meet South Africa in the quarter-finals at 11pm (Fiji time) after defeating New Zealand 21-14 in their last pool match at the Perth 7s in Australia.
New Zealand came out firing, scoring the opening two tries before the Fijians mounted a comeback.
They levelled the game late before Viwa Naduvalo swan dived over for the winner to ignite the crowd.
Fiji finishes on top of their pool with 9 points with France in second place with 6 points.
