Heavy downpour causes flooding

Torrential rainfall since Wednesday night had resulted in flooding in a number of areas in the Western Division yesterday.

In light of the adverse weather, the Ba Town special administrators urged residents and business community to adhere to all safety protocols. “Exercise utmost caution when navigating through affected areas.

“Avoid crossing flooded roads and water bodies to mitigate potential risks and stay informed through official channels for real-time updates.” Business houses were advised to prioritise the safety of their premises and employees.

“Implement precautionary measures to safeguard assets and ensure business continuity.”

The special administrators stated there were certain areas within the vicinity of the Ba Town that are susceptible to flooding.

“Please be cautious if you reside or commute through low-lying zones, creeks, or areas prone to flooding.

“Do not attempt to cross flooded roads or areas.”
