The Fiji Football pre-season transfer window opened on January 1 and will close at the end of the month.

The window would allow districts to apply for transfer of targeted 11-a-side players, both men and women as well as futsal players until January 31.

In a circular, Fiji Football reminded member associations that all transfers and player registrations must comply to the rules and regulations underlined in the Fiji FA National Regulations.

Member associations were reminded of the importance of verifying the eligibility of players being transferred, considering any restrictions, contractual obligations, or registration requirements set by the Fiji FA.

The circular also entailed that any player who has been receiving allowances would not be eligible to take transfer unless prior approval has been given by the concerned district.

Players with contracts must seek district approval prior to application.

Violation of transfer legislation will result in a player or club appearing before the player status committee.

The mid-season transfer window will open from June 17-30.
