Lautoka’s Central College celebrated their history in the making Inter District Championship (IDC) Under-15 win at the school on Thursday.
Head of School Amant Lal, while addressing the student’s said, they were proud of the achievements of their U-15 “warriors”.
“A big congratulation to our U-15 warriors for creating history and bringing the first U-15 IDC trophy home,” Lal said.
“I wish everyone all the very best for other future sports competitions and I sincerely hope that you continue to bring glory to our school so that we continue to keep up with the tradition of celebrating these marvellous victories.”
He also acknowledged the support of the esteemed GESOL board for their generous contributions towards the preparation for the IDC.
“I am extremely proud of what my students have achieved in the sports field and I am sure you will all agree that it will help you stay healthy and fit.
“Sports instils plenty of values that help students to cruise through life with honesty and responsibility for themselves and other,” Lal said.
In August, the Lautoka-based school created history after winning the U-15 title for the very first time, defeating Labasa College by 2-1 in extra time.
