TOURISTS or locals looking to have a unique spa experience will now have the opportunity to be given a truly Fijian spa experience products made from local ingredients at the newly opened Essence of Fiji rejuvenation centre in Nadi.

Essence of Fiji managing director Debra Sadranu said the opening of the rejuvenation centre was a significant milestone for the spa industry.

“Our market research has shown us that there is a high demand for inbound and outbound tourists needing an appropriate stop over prior to check-ins and flight schedules. It will be very well-supported by both the locals and international visitor market and having such an iconic brand renowned in the industry, it will assist in maximising the appeal of this facility,” she said

The rejuvenation centre will combine product development activities as well as state-of-the-art facilities demonstrating development of the Essence of Fiji range of products.

“The facility will allow great customer experience that will allow guests to escape, indulge and relax with natural rejuvenation therapies through the use of naturally based skin and body range products.”

The second floor of the facility will host the upgraded Essence of Fiji Spa Academy, which will expand from two courses to 10.

Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya said the concept was a breath of fresh air for the Fijian experience and the best part was the fact that the spa used fully Fijian products.

“You have local people employed here and the local products that are used here.

“There is a quadriplegic person who contributes to the artwork that is here. It’s absolutely wonderful.”
