Francis Kean has resigned from his post as the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service.
This, according to Constitutional Offices Commission chairperson Siromi Turaga in a statement today.
Mr Turaga said the Commission received a notice of resignation from Mr Kean as the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service.
He said Mr Kean is currently serving his contractual notice period.
“The members of the Commission will be invited to provide their consideration on the resignation,” he said.
“Pursuant to section 138(3) of the Constitution, following the concurrence of the majority of the members, the Chair will advise the President regarding the resignation of Mr Kean as the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service.”
