KOREANS around the country celebrated the Korea National Foundation Day which is also known as Tangun Day on Thursday.
The day marks the significance of Korea’s rich culture and the many achievements that the Korean people have achieved over the years.
Korean ambassador Seong-in Kim said since Fiji and Korea established diplomatic ties in 1971, the two countries had enjoyed close partnership in bilateral and global issues.
“Based on this friendly relation, our bilateral co-operation has further strengthened and diversified this year.
“The symposium on exploring Korean contributions to the blue-green economy of the Pacific region was successfully held in July with many participants from Korea and Fiji,” he said.
