A TRADE seminar organised by the Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the South African High Commission has set the platform for discussions on trade opportunities between South Africa and the local business community, says Government whip Semi Koroilavesau.
“We have a democratic government and process in place for business and commerce to flourish,” he said.
“The government believes that there’s no better time to invest in Fiji.
“The country is secure and it is the biggest prerequisite for business to prosper.”
South African head of mission Abbey Matoto Pindelo said the elections had inspired investor confidence in Fiji.
Nadi Chamber president Dr Ram Raju paid tribute to Government for establishing an environment that inspired investor confidence and acknowledged South Africa’s interest in pursuing trade relations with Fiji.
