Government’s partnership with stakeholders has resulted in economic developments in municipalities, says Local Government Minister Premila Kumar.
In opening the upgraded hot springs project in Savusavu, Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu, earlier this week, Mrs Kumar described such partnership as one that enhanced the relationship among stakeholders.
“We also need such partnership to enhance the image of our towns and municipal councils have benefited from long-term projects,” she said.
“We value partnership as it is one of the founding principles of our service and we continue to do this where there’s sustainable development.
“Partnerships have seen a few projects completed in Savusavu which includes the foreshore, children’s park and newly constructed benches at MH Supermarket.”
Mrs Kumar said the upgraded hot spring project which now has sheds and benches was another result of combined efforts between stakeholders.
