Bell appointed to the HFC Bank Board of Directors

Fiji’s 100 per cent locally owned bank – HFC Bank – has appointed Robert Bell to the HFC Bank Board of Directors effective July 2022.

HFC Bank board chairman Tom Ricketts said they were pleased to welcome Mr Bell onboard.

“He comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the finance and banking sector spanning over two decades with a strong passion for both innovation and leadership that will be invaluable to the growth and success of HFC Bank,” he said.

“I am delighted at Mr Bell’s appointment to our board.

His expertise and vast experience in the financial sector, both internationally and locally, will be a key guide towards steering HFC Bank to achieve its core strategy,” said HFC chief executive officer Rakesh Ram.

Mr Bell  was the founding Chief Executive Officer of 86 400, Australia’s first digital smart bank based in Sydney, Australia (2018-2022).

He is also the former CEO of ANZ Fiji and former Chair of ANZ Pacific Operations and Bank of Kiribati 2006-2009. Mr Bell will serve as an independent member of the Board and join six other highly esteemed directors.
