The Education Ministry is looking to hire an external strategic communications team that will, among other duties, carry out a social media strategy development and content creation for Minister Premila Kumar on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
This, according to tender documents released by the Fiji Procurement Office on July 6.
The external strategic communications team would also be required to do media monitoring across social media and traditional media and provide daily reports.
“Identifying reputational risks and implementing strategies to counteract,” the tender document read. The external strategic communication team would also conduct “crisis management”.
“Writing and vetting with a maximum of 20 media releases targeted per month.”
The external strategic communications team would be required to vet parliamentary papers and act as a media liaison on the ministry’s behalf. It would also be required to write three speeches per week for the minister and “facilitate and implement strategic collaboration with key partners in the media space”.
The contract duration with the external strategic communications team would be for three years. The tender closes on August 3, three days into the 2022-2023 new budget year.
