The Dreketi health Centre in Macuata has been relocated to the Government quarters across from its present location.

This was confirmed by Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete during his tour of the Northern Division this week.

He said a new health centre would be built within the next two to three years.

The Health Minister also said that the Savusavu Hospital would be extended and staffed so that the people of the Cakaudrove province could access services previously available only at the Labasa Hospital.

“The specialist doctors at the Labasa Hospital have been requested to resume their program of conducting clinics and other services at the Savusavu Hospital and this will also be extended to the Saqani Health Centre to cater for the villages in the tikina Saqani, Tawake and Navatu,” Dr Waqainabete said.
