Sevu Reece has joined Crusaders royalty near the top of the franchise’s all-time try scoring list.
According to a stuff.co.nz report Reece has scored 36 tries for the Crusaders equalling Dan Carter’s mark. Reece grabbed a brace of tries in his sides’ 34-19 win over the Highlanders on Friday night.
While unfair to compare the tally of a wing and a first five-eighth, Reece only needed 41 games to reach the mark in comparison to Carter’s 141.
Only Leon MacDonald (42 in 122 games) and Caleb Ralph (52 in 126) are clear of him, although teammates George Bridge and Will Jordan, who have touched down 35 and 26 times respectively, are lurking.
