Kane Evans’ tumultuous tenure at the Warriors has been cut shot after he and the Kiwi club mutually agreed to part ways.
The Fijian front-rower, who joined the Warriors on a two-year deal from Parramatta, has been released from the last season of his contract in 2022.
Evans is poised to head to the UK Super League, with Leeds understood to be one potential destination for the 29-year-old.
“By mutual agreement we’ve parted ways amicably to enable Kane to pursue opportunities in the Super League,” Warriors recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan said.
“We thank Kane for the contribution he has made this season and wish him all the best for his future in England.”
Evans joined the Warriors after a total of 117 matches for the Sydney Roosters and Parramatta since his NRL debut it 2014.
He made 14 appearances for the Vodafone Warriors this year to lift his career tally to 131 games.
