Silver Ferns captain Gina Crampton has been forced out of Wednesday night’s test against England though injury.

Crampton has been ruled out for the second test of the series in Christchurch because of a hip abductor strain.

The wing attack played for 53 minutes in the opening test of the series, which the Silver Ferns won 48-42.

As well as Crampton, Jamie Hume and Madeline Gordon have been omitted from the team, with Grace Nweke, Peta Toeava and Kate Heffernan coming into the match day team.

Nweke and Heffernan will both be making their debuts for the Silver Ferns, while Sulu Fitzpatrick will captain the team.

If the Silver Ferns win, they will pick up the Taini Jamison Trophy. England will be looking for just their 11th victory in the 102nd test between the two countries.

The test at Christchurch Arena starts at 7.30pm.
