Members of the public have been responding to the vaccination rollout that the began on Monday.
A ministry statement read that the vaccination campaign would begin in communities within the Suva and Nausori containment zones and only in areas identified by the Ministry of Health.
“People from other areas/communities are requested to wait for the vaccination team to visit their area,” the statement said.
“Prior notice will be delivered through district advisory councillors, turaganikoro (village headmen), community health workers, representatives, and mass media communication.
“The mobile team will be visiting and vaccinating households having homebound individuals due to illness or old age and are known to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
“Those who are above 18 years of age and wish to be vaccinated, please present your valid photo identification, example joint FNPF/FRCA card, driver’s licence, passport or student ID to register for vaccination.”
Those that have registered for vaccination are advised to have their registration reference number and valid photo identification.
“For those who are living within the allocated area for vaccination but have to go to work out of the area can be vaccinated next time and for those who are working within the areas of vaccination sites can get vaccinated.”

Suva subdivision
Wailea settlement and Vusavusa Housing (community hall with mobile bus) 9am to 5pm, greater Suva area (area visit by mobile team) 8am to 5pm
Cunningham Stage 1 (Wainimako hall (Cunningham Stage 1) 9am to 5pm, Wainitarawau Rd, Cunningham Stage 1 (Wainimako hall, mobile bus and tent) 9am to 5pm. n Nasinu subdivision
Kinoya Village, Salumi settlement and EFL staff quarters (Kinoya Village community hall) 8am to 4pm,
Kinoya Rd, Vesivesi Rd, Tivi Place, Velau Dr, and Laucala Beach (Kinoya Methodist Church) 8am to 4pm.
Nakasi area q Salim St, Wailai St, Chadwick Rd, Nakasi Rd up to Naulu junction (Chadwick Mandir Street Hall) 9am to 5pm.
