FINAL preparations for the inaugural Fijian Tourism Expo are underway with the official opening of the new Denarau Island Convention Centre last week.
The Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) will be the first event to be held in the new facility at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and is the ideal opportunity to introduce the centre to both Fijian and international travel trade.
“We have over 150 international travel buyers attending FTE,” says Tourism Fiji CEO Rick Hamilton.
“Being the first event to be held at the new Denarau Island Convention Centre will showcase this fantastic new facility and demonstrate to international buyers that Fiji can host large scale events.
“The facility is designed to accommodate up to 1,500 delegates and will be a great asset to both Denarau Island and Fiji in attracting large conferences and events to our destination.”
The Fijian Tourism Expo has sold out with over 260 properties and 150 international buyers interested in the show to be held from May 5 to 8 at the new Denarau Island Convention Centre.
