The VKM Dental Clinic round two of the 18 holes two men stroke Ambrose event will be concluded at the Lautoka Golf Club course tomorrow.
Club president Chong Lee confirmed that the generous sponsorship by Dr Vimal Murthi will see proceeds going towards LGC’s fundraiser for STC YASA victims.
The club is definitely heading towards its target of $5000 by the end of this month. The first round produced fireworks on the course with two new golfers registering victory for the first time.
Tournament organiser Raymond Singh has confirmed that each event had a new winner on the past six Ambrose stroke play.
“Dr Vimal Murthi is keen to round off proceedings by also providing a host of hidden and lucky draw prizes alongside the main prizes on the day.
“A lot of interest has been shown by new golfers joining LGC as junior or paying members,” Singh said.
“The junior development program will continue and newcomers are most welcome to be given free golfing lessons.”
Meanwhile, the Summer Cup will commence from mid-February with the Chinese new year celebrations being the top event to kickstart 2021 proper. “Once again over 40 golfers have shown keen interest for the upcoming events,” he said.
