Tertiary and secondary schools in Suva this morning had the opportunity to engage with US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) deputy administrator James Morhard through a virtual meeting at the US embassy.

The students had the opportunity to discuss the upcoming NASA and SpaceX Crew-1 launch and other NASA programs.

Mr Morhard told students they could become great leaders if they were humble.

“I am a servant to the people of NASA,” he said.

“I’ve worked for the Senate ever since I was 27-years-old, I’ve came across great leaders.”

US Ambassador Joseph Cella said as a young boy, he closely followed the US space industry and space exploration.

“For students present here, to become a great leader, one should have a great sense of humility,” Mr Cella said.
