DEFENDING champions Olaf Allen Jr and Roneel Prakash retained the Srixon Cleveland Fiji Amateur Foursomes 2014 title at the Fiji Golf Club course in Vatuwaqa yesterday.
The duo amassed 153 gross to claim the annual event.
Allen Jr who is a Suva-based businessman and Lautoka-based schoolteacher Prakash have been playing together for the past couple of years.
They managed to fend off tough competition from top pairs in Munesh Prasad and Praneel Prasad, VK Singh and Mohammed Rizwan and Mervyn Low and Ashleigh Matheson.
Father and son, Abid Hussein and Baroon Hussein finished the runner-up after managing 156 gross in the over 36 holes event.
The Husseins were runner-ups in last year’s competition as well.
Kishore Dahya’s team was the overall nett winners on 148 while William Naisara and Father Vodivodi were the runner-ups.
