FIJIAN Latui head coach Senirusi Seruvakula says the team was ready to provide fireworks when the team runs onto ANZ Stadium today in their first match of the Global Rapid Rugby series against the China Lions.
“The players are excited and we can’t wait for Saturday to showcase that,” Seruvakula said.
At the same time, Seruvakula is aware of the depth of talent in the China Lions team which has an experienced side consisting of players from both the Super Rugby competition and Mitre 10 champion side Bay of Plenty.
“It is not a development team it is a full strength China Lions team,” Seruvakula says the mood in camp was relaxed and there was no unwanted pressure on the players.
“The boys are relaxed and it is an advantage for us because it is a home game, but still we have to look through the finer detail and we will let the game take care of itself.”
The Fijian Latui take on the China Lions today at 6.15pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
