IT was celebrating Christmas in a special and different way for the Scar Fades the Barber crew today.

The crew of about 30 people organised a free haircut session for the community of Stage 4, Cunningham.

“This is first time I have taken up this initiative to give back to the community because this is where I started freelancing before I had graduated in men’s barbering,” said group coordinator Enele Ma’afu.

Mr Ma’afu said Christmas was not all about receiving gifts but giving in return as well.

“The message I want to portray is that Christmas is not so much about receiving gifts but having to give something back to the unemployed youths of the small crime-free community as well.

“Most importantly, it’s the thought that counts and also giving them a sense of hope that whatever talents or gift that you posses, you would be able to use to give you an opportunity to support your future.”
