Bank celebrates 10 years of acquisition

SINCE its acquisition of the Colonial Fiji Group 10 years ago, BSP has grown by doubling its customer base and investing $44 million in the past five years in its information technology.

The group yesterday celebrated the 10th anniversary of its acquisition of Colonial Fiji at the Holiday Inn with staff members and its customers.

BSP Group chairman Sir Kostas Constantinou said with electronic banking taking off in Fiji, BSP now had 190 automated teller machine (ATM) and 2030 EFTPOS terminals across the country.

Sir Constantinou said the bank was now No. 2 in the loans market and had also reduced loan assessment periods from two days to 15 minutes only.
