FIJI rugby’s top try scorer of all time Vereniki Goneva has called an end to his international rugby career.

Goneva, 35 announced his retirement on social media labelling his decision a choice to make way for more talented players to don the white jersey for Fiji.

“Now it is the best time to pass on the bat to another talented player that is well fitted to make their dream shine through,” Goneva wrote.

“I am so thankful and very grateful for all the opportunities that was given me to be able to display God-given talent with other talented boys throughout from 2007 to 2019.”

Nagado Village flyer now playing professional rugby with the Newcastle Falcons was first spotted by the legend Waisale Serevi while playing for Nadi in the Digicel Cup competition in 2007.
