AUSTRALIAN, Deborah Weiss has being appointed as Permanent Secretary, Communication and Information Technology a position that has remained vacant for a long time for want of the most suitable candidate.
Public Service Commission (PSC) chair Vishnu Mohan said Ms Weiss has over twenty years of very relevant experience as a senior operational and management executive in both the private and government sectors of Australia.
“The PSC is delighted to have been able to acquire Deborah’s services to carry forward the Government’s ambitious agenda in the areas of digitalization and advanced communication,” Mr Mohan said.
“Deborah holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies from the University of NSW, and Master of Commerce, majoring in Information Systems, from the University of NSW. Deborah will take up her position on September 9, 2019.”
