WHEN Dipti Sharma launched Eventuros Fiji Ltd, it was through the combination of 15 years of experience in sales and marketing and IT.
The intense consumerism of the internet has pushed savvy companies towards stamping their mark online, and it is to these demands that her digital marketing company caters to.
“Since starting two years ago, we have been busy catering to a variety of both domestic and international clients, and it does reflect the digital demands of modern-day companies,” Mrs Sharma said.
Based in Nadi, Eventuros’ services include digital marketing and social media management, search engine optimisation (SEO), editorial copywriting, branding, graphic designs, website and application development.
“So far, we have done extremely well in putting small businesses online, curating content and social media calendars for their businesses.”
The company also oversees corporate event management, with its latest stint being the launch of Huawei Fiji and Telecom Fiji’s ultra-fast fibre broadband during the Pacific Islands
Telecommunications Association (PITA) conference at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa along the Coral Coast.
“Everything and everyone are online now so the ability to influence, measure impact and conduct brand awareness with target audiences definitely has to be digital,” Mrs Sharma
emphasised.
“As a regional hub, companies in Fiji have defi nitely risen to the occasion by investing in websites, apps, SEO and other digital necessities.
It’s not just about running print ads or telemarketing.
As times modernise, both established and upcoming businesses have moved beyond traditional marketing methods.”
Like all companies, Mrs Sharma’s business has been through testing times. “Some of the challenges we face is making small businesses understand the importance and necessity of being online.
“We also host small pocket expert sessions whereby we get five to 10 clients and provide them information and awareness on the importance of digital media. This is also conducted individually for some organisations and it’s for our clients to upskill their digital presence.
“We have some companies who are in the same line of business either to do digital marketing or corporate events management, and I think Fiji needs more people to learn more about digital marketing.
“Since we are a digital media marketing agency, we provide our services to any client in every corner of the world and are currently working with locals, some from Australia, Canada and around the South Pacific,” she said.
There are plans to hire more SEO specialists, web developers and social media marketing experts, as well as to expand its corporate event management into exhibitions setups.
Since launching her company in 2017, Mrs Sharma has twice been a finalist in the Women in Business Awards’ Aspiring Entrepreneur category.
