FIJI Airways and Fiji Link are proud of the achievements of its ambassador Roy Krishna.

Krishna capped off a stellar season with the Wellington Phoenix by picking up two of the most coveted awards in the A League last night.

Babasiga’s wonderboy won the Johnny Warren medal for the best player during the 2018-19 A-League season.

He also won the league’s golden boot, finished on 31 points ahead of Adelaide United skipper Isaias Sanchez (29) and Perth playmaker Neil Kilkenny (29).

“He’s (Krishna) not just a great footballer, but a wonderful role model for young Fijians everywhere,” a spokesman from Fiji Airways said.

“We join everyone in Roy’s hometown of Labasa and across the country in congratulating him for being the best player in a competition full of talented footballers from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and South America.

“From humble beginnings in Labasa to now stand at the pinnacle of professional football in this part of the world is an outstanding achievement for Roy and for Fiji.”
