PACIFIC Energy continued their partnership with the Marist Rugby Club for the eighth consecutive year providing cash sponsorship of $10,000 towards the 2019 43rd Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Rugby Tournament.

National Retail Manager Amit Maharaj said this was the eighth year they were sponsoring the Marist 7s Rugby Tournament.

“Every year the tournament gets more exciting where we see new upcoming talents that could, in fact, represent our country at the Olympics,” Maharaj said.

He said they were focused on supporting tournaments at the grassroots level and they would continue to do so.

Marist Rugby Club president Lawrence Tikaram stressed the importance of having partners who share the same synergies and vision for the people of Fiji.

“We both want to establish our brands amongst the grassroots people and we both take the movement to heart,” Tikaram said.

The countdown now begins with less than seven days to go before Fiji’s top local sevens clubs go head to head for the title.
