A total of 26 teams have entered the Mali Pest Control four person Ambrose event to be played at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club course in Nadi on Sunday.
The tournament was supposed to be played last Saturday but was postponed because of the adverse weather.
Denarau Golf Club manager Amitesh Chandra said the number of teams for the event had increased.
Amitesh said professional players such as Roneel Prakash and Vikrant Chandra would be participate. He said the maximum handicap for the men was 27.
“The men will hit off from the gold tee,” Amitesh said.
“The maximum handicap for ladies is 32 and they will hit off from the jade tee.
“In the Ambrose format every player will tee off on each hole. The best of the tee shots will be selected and the second shot will be played from that spot and so on until the ball is holed
“Team Crusoe Tours guided by professional player Apenisa Koroicure is among the favourites.”
The tournament will tee off at 9am.
