Uni offers Bachelor of Laws program

ASPIRING lawyers now have an opportunity to study Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the Fiji National University.

The LLB program together with their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) is accredited by the Board of Legal Education of Fiji.

The programs are offered by the Department of Law of the School of Accounting and Law and is part of the College of Business Hospitality and Tourism Studies (CBHTS) being offered at the Nasinu campus in Valelevu.

The courses are offered in the day and evening, but evening classes are designed to accommodate working students.

The LLB program is a four-year program which comprises of courses such as Common Law Reasoning and Institutions, Law and the Pacific Society, Criminal Law, Elements of Contract Law, Public Law and Law of Torts.

The program also offers a very practical approach to the application of the laws in Fiji, the South Pacific jurisdictions with constant referencing to laws of Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

The program offers face-to-face learning and teaching experience from time of enrolment to graduation.
