THE Cross Off Victory rugby team defeated Nasaudama and Nasawana rugby teams in pool games at the Redstream Investment Masada Youth CMF Bua 7s tournament yesterday.
Cross Off Victory rugby team scored 19-0 over Nasaudama and beat Nasawana by default.
Redstream Investment Masada Youth CMF Bua 7s tournament organiser Marika Tuiwainunu said the two-day tournament would benefit the church with their projects.
“We have some church projects that we need to finish this year and this tournament would in a way make it work for us,” he said.
Tuiwainunu said funds from the tournament would be forwarded to the church.
“There are 24 teams playing in this tournament and four teams came from Viti Levu,” he said.
“We also see that there are a lot of talents out there that needs to be showcased and put to use especially on the playing field.”
Tuiwainunu said they always involved youths in their tournaments as they would one day be future leaders.
“All the teams that won from the pool games yesterday would play on the quarter-final for today,” he said.
