The oppressed

Opinion poll

Reference is made to one Nishant Singh’s response to my input in your daily. In one breath he wants to accept his democratic right and in the next he tells me that I have no right to comment in Fiji’s political affairs. Whew! Hypocrisy at its peak!

Solar energy

AS a nation we are failing to take maximum advantage of free solar energy. The Government has done its part by making solar panels and accessories duty free. It would assist further if the products were put under strict price control and if the FEA followed California’s example and permitted solar energy generated by private residences to be fed into the FEA power grid via inverter meters, and paying domestic users for the surplus power they generate. Ultimately it would be cheaper for the FEA and the nation than importing fuel oil.

Out and about

FREE chocolate bar to the person who can guess why our politicians are suddenly out and about attentively gracing their presence in cane belts, social and even holy gatherings to passionately “listen” and promptly address the concerns of the common people. Clue? 2018!

Thank you

ON behalf of my relatives and friends who live on Sandalwood St in Lautoka, I wish to thank Fiji Roads Authority for the repairs done. The junction of Sandalwood and Vomo streets used to be like riding a bucking horse. Anyway thank you guys. Now we surf silently over the road.
