I wish to bring to the attention of Vimlesh Chand (FT 15/6) from the Ministry of Education, who tried to thwart the concerns raised by stipulating that the revised textbooks have been uploaded on the ministry’s website (www.education.gov.fj).
I checked the website again on (15/6) and the same unpalatable contents are there.
I request him to visit the website for himself and then he will be able to have it corrected/removed.
On a positive note, I am greatly pleased that the permanent secretary for the Ministry of Education issued a circular the other day (MOE — C54-17) requesting headteachers to print the amended pages from Year 4 (P6) and Year 8 (P1) and have it incorporated within the current textbooks.
