Update: 3:48PM EXPECT the rainy weather to continue as a trough of low pressure moves slowly over Kadavu.
The report from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi distributed today explains that the trough would bring cloud and rain to Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele and the Southern Lau group.
“It is expected to move north and affect the rest of the group from tomorrow,” the weather service has forecast.
“For the rest of Fiji, cloudy skies with thundery showers, especially in the afternoon and evening.”
The forecast for the country for up to midnight Thursday is “occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Kadavu and nearby smaller island and the southern Lau group”.
The southern part of the country can expect continued cloudy periods with “some showers over the eastern and the interior of the larger islands”.
The rest of the country can expect fine weather except for some afternoon or evening showers.
Fridays weather is expected to be continued rain.
