AUSTRALIAN-based rugby flyer Chris Kuridrani scored the best try of his life yesterday when he exchange wedding vows with his sweetheart Selina Leo at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort’s Bure ni Loloma wedding chapel on the Coral Coast.
The former Queensland Reds winger said he was humbled to finally marry the woman of his dream after two years of courting.
“I couldn’t ask for a better day and to be here on the Coral Coast with my relatives from Nadi and Nadroga is a dream come true,” the Namatakula native said.
“I first met her at church. I eyed her and it was not long when we came to this.”
Kuridrani said he was honoured to also have Wallabies rugby players Tevita Kuridrani and Samu Kerevi at the wedding.
He said with the support of his wife he had set his target to follow in the footsteps of Tevita and Kerevi.
The 25-year-old said his wife had been supporting his rugby career for the past years and was looking forward for a continued support to achieve his dream.
“She has been supporting me in my footy during the past years, so to go home together and live in the same house is dream come true. My goal is to make the Wallabies squad just to be in the training squad and to follow in the footsteps of my cousin Te (Tevia Kuridrani) and Samu Kerevi.
Twenty-seven-year-old Selina said she was proud to marry the man of her dream.
“My mum is from Tuvalu and dad from PNG, but we live in Brisbane,” she said.
“Chris is so generous and super loving husband and I am really happy to be here today. I am looking forward to stay with him and to be there as his number one fan.”
Best man and Wallabies rep Tevita Kuridrani and his teammate Kerevi congratulated the new couple for a new journey,
‘It is a very proud moment for the family, especially to be the best man,” said Tevita.
“I am glad to be here and witness Chris’s big day,” said Kerevi.
The couple will spend their honeymoon at the Outrigger and later will visit Kuridrani’s brother, Nemani Nadolo in France
