Update: 2:00PM A 60-YEAR-old Ba man appeared before Magistrate Samuela Qica during a special court sitting in Tavua today charged with one count of rape.
The man is alleged to have raped his eight-year-old grandson.
Divisional Police prosecutor West ASP Anil Prasad represented the prosecution and objected the bail of the accused, citing the severity of the offence involving a minor.
The accused has been remanded and will appear at the Ba Magistrates Court for mention on December 23.
