ABOUT $16,048 was raised during the Hard Rock Cafe Pinktober morning tea hosted in Port Denarau for business and private sector representatives.
Hard Rock Cafe general manager Roy Swarnendu said Pinktober was an initiative undertaken by the company.
“Hard Rock has supported this cause worldwide for a month,” he said.
“Every cafe in the world participates and the main purpose is fundraising and we believe very strongly in philanthropy.”
During the morning tea, Hard Rock Cafe staff members put on a fashion show. Bras were also auctioned to raise funds for breast cancer awareness.
The establishment has about 45 staff members.
The money raised during the event will be given to the Fiji Cancer Society.
