THE public holiday dates for next year have been approved by the Government and released through gazette notice Number 68.
A statement released by the Government yesterday listed the dates of 11 public holidays to be celebrated by Fijians around the country.
The dates are:
* New Year’s Day – Monday, January 2;
* Good Friday – Friday, April 14;
* Easter Saturday – Saturday, April 15;
* Easter Monday – Monday, April 17;
* National Sports and Wellness Day – Friday, June 30;
* Constitution Day – Thursday, September 7;
* Fiji Day – Tuesday, October 10;
* Diwali – Thursday, October 19;
* Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday – Monday, December 4;
* Christmas Day – Monday, December 25, and;
* Boxing Day – Tuesday, December 26.
