Sigatoka Andhra cause upset at secondary schools IDC

SIGATOKA Andhra Sangam College has caused the biggest upset so far at the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Soccer Championship underway in Nadi.

The side defeated Under-19 defending champions Baulevu High School 1-nil in a pool match today.

The win puts SAC on second spot in Pool C with four points while Kamil College leads with seven points. Baulevu High School has three points and will need to work hard to qualify for the quarter-finals.

In the Under-17 grade, Labasa Muslim College lead the standings with four points followed by Tavua College (3) and Cuvu College (3).

Ba’s Xavier College leads the U15 points table with six points followed by Labasa College(3) and Nadi Muslim College(1).

The last round of pool games will be played tomorrow followed by the quarter-finals.

The semi-finals and final will be played on Wednesday.
