The announcement follows a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, November 27.
Work on the development of a multi-million-dollar commercial complex is all systems go for Motibhai Group.
The entire project, which is being spearheaded by executive director Bhupendra Patel, will enable the group to centralise all its Western Division operations under one roof.
“The new business park will be a one-stop-shop comprising executive offices, warehouse, showroom, joinery and workshop, visual department, staff canteen and amenities together with cold storage facilities to cater for Burger King Fiji operations,” Mr Patel said.
“Apart from this our staff will be able to enjoy their leisure activities because the new complex will have playing fields and gardens where staff can socialise after a day’s work.
“We are making every effort to provide a safe, pleasurable and healthy environment for our staff which all will continue to enhance their quality of work life,” Mr Patel said.
At the moment, he said, their warehouses were scattered all over the Western Division from Ba to Nadi.
The plan is for the new complex to provide a centralised operation to make day-to-day operations much smoother and efficient for them.
“We are mindful of the importance of green business as we operate the businesses to meet our needs, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own.
“Our business park will have solar panels to supply energy minimising consumption of electricity and will also have rainwater harvesting system for the reusing of water which all speaks of our strong corporate social responsibility and our concern for the society.
“Our corporate head office will also move to the new premises,” Mr Patel said.
